Ulugbek Kamilov
Visiting Student

Ulugbek Kamilov was a visiting graduate student from the Communication Systems department of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). He joined STIR in September 2010 to work on his master's thesis on the topics of compressive sensing, quantization, and image acquisition.

During the 2007-'08 academic year he was an exchange student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Ulugbek obtained his BSc in Communication Systems from EPFL in 2008. In 2008 he worked as a Research Intern in the Signal and Information processing unit of the Telecommunication Research Center in Vienna (FTW). In 2009 he interned with Microsoft in the Unified Communications Group where he worked on real-time communication platform Microsoft Lync. During his masters Ulugbek did research projects in Audiovisual Communications Laboratory (LCAV) and Biomedical Imaging Group (LIB) at EPFL.
